Napa County 24-Hour Release List
The official local source is the Napa CJNet Jail Release Report. CJNet describes that report as public jail release information for the past week. No separate official Napa County Department of Corrections 24-hour release feed was found in the research, so the one-week report has to be read as the source for same-day releases.
That distinction matters. A person released from the Napa County Department of Corrections facility may appear with a release timestamp in the report, but the report does not say the criminal case is over. The court case may still have a future date, a sentence term, probation, mandatory supervision, a warrant issue, or another agency transfer. Treat the report as a jail release record for the report window.
Verify the timestamp. The report shows a "based on report data as of" time, but Napa has not published a fixed refresh schedule for this release report.
Check Napa Same-Day Releases
For a same-day check, work from the release timestamp rather than the booking timestamp. The release report is the release-first page; the booking report and in-custody report can add context, but they are not substitutes for the release report when the question is who left custody today.

- Sort or scan by Release Date/Time and compare each listed time with the current time.

- If the person is absent, check the CJNet In Custody Report, VINE, court records, or a records request.

Napa Release Report Fields
The public report is useful because its visible columns are release-focused. It does not show a separate release-reason field, and it does not display a separate supervision-status field. It also does not show booking photos.

Embedded fields observed in the report include BookingID, ADCFormID, PID, FullName, DOB, Age, Race, Gender, Height, Weight, HairColor, EyeColor, ArrestDateTime, BookingDateTime, AppObjectName, FinalReleaseDateTime, and OccurrenceDetail. Those fields help identify the record, but the public table remains the safer way to describe the report.
Napa One-Week Release Window
Napa's data-window quirk is simple: the official CJNet release report is broader than a 24-hour list. It covers the past week, so a same-day search is a manual scan within a larger public report. A person released last night, early this morning, or later today may be mixed with older rows from the same week.
If a release should be present but is not, do not assume the person is still in custody or that no release occurred. The reason can be data lag, a spelling mismatch, a DOB mismatch, a restricted record, a transfer, a state or federal custody path, or an event that aged out of the report. The next step is to compare CJNet pages and then use records or court channels.

Napa Released vs Custody Status
A release listing means the person has a release date and time from the Napa County jail booking record for the report window. It does not prove the person has no court date, no probation condition, no PRCS status, no parole issue, or no custody matter in another jurisdiction. A current-custody listing means the person was still in Napa custody as of that report's data time.

Older Napa Release Records
The one-week CJNet report is not an archive. For older Napa County releases, use a purpose-neutral written request through the Napa County public records request portal or contact the Napa County Sheriff's Records Bureau for booking-record routing. The Records Bureau page says it houses booking records and arrest warrants and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its inquiry phone is 707-253-4440.
A narrow request is easier to process. Include the person's full name, DOB if known, booking date, approximate release date, CJNet PID or booking number if available, and the specific record sought. Ask for the booking and release record, including time and manner of release if publicly disclosable. For a release tied to a court order, also use the Napa Superior Court research and records process.
Napa Release Property Pickup
Napa County publishes post-release service details, but it does not publish exact daily jail release processing times. The local post-release services page says missing property is handled through lobby reception Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It also says canteen refunds are available Friday mornings after 9 a.m., and debit card issues go to the card company.
Those service windows do not prove when a person will walk out of custody. They are useful after the release has already happened, especially when property, account, or refund questions remain. For the release record itself, use CJNet, records requests, VINE, court records, or the agency with custody authority.
No Napa Release App Found
No official Napa sheriff or corrections mobile app with jail release rows or mugshots was confirmed in the research. The official release path remains CJNet for current public release data, plus written records requests for older or more precise records.
